First day back at School

I know noone reads this, but I just felt like writing this. So, school started today and I was really excited about it because it was like a friends reunion after seeing everyone for 6 weeks.

Before School Started
Yesterday, I asked a friend to walk with me to school because I felt like it :). I was literally looking out of the window, waiting for my friend to walk past my aunt’s house. We just walked and talked about the holidays, the future and Year 7. One of the first things I noticed, was a lot of girls had long hair.

When we arrived at school, I saw my other friends and other people. There was a huge crowded area of Year 7s, and they were extremely short. It was really nostalgic looking at Year 7s, especially the boys because they were all shorter than me. And all the guys in my grade are like growing heaps taller. Puberty does crazy things :L

More friends arrived and there were hugs. Our grade lined up for assembly in the hall, and there were announcements. Timetables, diaries and updates J

During School
Our grade missed out school for the first period which was good because I had Maths. :S  So I headed to English, and saw my classmates from last year. It was good to see a teacher from last year :D. There were supposed to be 3 new students but none of them showed up. I liked how my English teacher went over classroom rules because it seems really cool. Afterwards, I had recess where some Year 7s took our spots >:(

After recess, I had Science which I did not like because it was awkward. I had that teacher before so he was awkward and the class was awkward. I also hate Science.

Then I went to Visual Arts. I was quite shocked going to VA because there were so many people in mainstream classes. 90% of my classes are in advanced and it was quite awkward for me. Im not trying to be mean, but most of them were like wild, and liked to mess around and talk. Because I’m from advanced courses it was a different feeling to not be around smart people.

Lunar New Year '12

Happy Lunar New Year ! Well, today is actually New Years Eve and Lunar New Year is tomorrow. Nearly all of my friends are celebrating it today because tomorrow is a Monday. So, my day has been pretty moody because of my family’s low spirit. I was a bit blue in the morning because I wasn’t sure if my cousins were coming.

My family had lunch, and webcammed with my aunty from America.

I saw one of my cousins just watching TV, and there was this little Care Bear finger puppet. You put your finger up it’s bum. It has little tufts of hair and we gave it a Gatsby-inspired hairstyle. Not the Great Gatsby book, but Gatsby, the Japanese hairstyling product. So I made a random tutorial. J

So, its almost 11:20pm and my day has been a bit boring. I didn’t receive any red pockets, which was sad but the main point of today was the family gathering.

There were some typical ancient myths:

Whatever happens to you on New Years, will happen to you for the rest of the year.

Giving money to children on New Years, gives them luck.

Cutting a watermelon and the inside is red mean you’ve got luck for the rest of the year

And the typical, horoscope.

Anyway, I wish everyone a happy Lunar New Year. And a great year ahead, to the Asians. Just kidding. :)

Friday

things I Hate - 1 ; Little Kids

I know noone reads my blogs but sometimes it's nice to see what I think about things from the past. Keeping a blog helps me to look back into that past as well. I’ve decided to make a new section or episode of things I hate titled “ things I Hate “.. maybe I should make a section called “ things i love “. I just feel like getting things off my chest.

So I came back from tutoring about 2 hours ago and I got yelled by my teacher, like always. And he inspired me to write this *ahem*

So, at my tutoring, I’d say my teacher is a pretty good teacher…. ONLY because he uses his very special technique called “Rage”. At my tutoring, there’s a lot of little kids hanging in Year 3, 4, 5 walking around.

Every week when I see my teacher he yells at EVERYONE in our class, which is a pretty normal thing, because he does it every lesson. Today, my teacher yelled at me, the most in tutoring because I always have careless mistakes in my maths equations. While he was telling me off, these little kids were staring at me. They kept turning and looking back at me.

I honestly, really hate it when little kids turn around and stare at you. It's like you've done something bad. So basically, my teacher was telling me off, while little kids were staring at me. And it was awkward as well, cause there was 5 pairs of eyes staring at me.

Well, obviously when youre a little kid, you do stare at everything. But I just find it annoying. I hate little kids, except for my little cousins ;)

I haven’t been blogging for quite a while because I was in Newcastle for the past 5 days and I just came back yesterday and it was fun. There was internet connection available, but I didn’t wanna pay for it. I guess it pisses everyone off. I enjoy visiting new places, cities, countries etc. but the travelling usually pisses me off.

Anyway, Asian (or chinese) New Year is coming up next week.

The week after that, is school.. I think. Kill me. :(

Sunday

Holiday Movies

On the last day of school, in Geo class, my class watched ‘She’s the Man’. At that time, I've heard of the movie, but I was never interested in it because the cover had sex appeal on it (abbs, short skirts.. ). My class wanted to watch the whole movie but we had to move to our next class, so… I went straight home, took a shower and found She’s the Man online.

The movie is awesome !! Yet very old.
Even though it's 5 years old, it's still a great movie. After I watched the movie I googled ‘Amanda Bynes’ and today she looks so different than in the movie. Ive watched Mean Girls, A Cinderella Story and 17 Again, and it was interesting for me to see how all 4 of the movies were good in different ways. I realised they are have different stories but they all had something in common, that made them so awesome.

Mean Girls – It’s a movie about a girl called Cady who pretends to be a Plastic to get revenge for her friend.

A Cinderella Story – A poor girl called Sam who works as a waitress and pretends to be someone who is rich at Senior Prom

She’s the Man – A girl called Viola pretends to be her brother whilst he is in London.

17 Again – A father who becomes his 17-year-old self and pretends to be a highschool student, to impress his family

I noticed that the one thing in common was that in all 3 movies, the plot was a girl who has to be pretend to be someone and it’s not just a pretend pretend, it was an extreme transformation, so basically they become someone completely different.

Mean Girls – Normal girl to a slutty bitch.
A Cinderella Story – Poor waitress to a rich college student
She’s the Man – Normal girl to manly guy
17 Again – Father to teenager

They are all different stories but they are all good. A Cinderella Story would probably be the least liked because not most people would prefer comedy over romance. That's just what I think :)

Mean Girls – Reality, comedy

A Cinderella Story – Reality, Romance

She’s the Man – Reality, comedy

17 Again – Reality, comedy

Another thing that I like about the movies is that if there was a sequel, it would suck. Well, personally that’s what I think. To me, all 4 movies are classic. I can watch these movies over and over again, because they are like CLASSICS. Mean Girls 2 sucks.. its nothing compared to the first one.

If A Cinderella Story had a number 2, what would the idea be ? Another version of Cinderella Story ? Yea, thatd be boring.

Same thing with She’s the Man. If Viola became her brother again, that’d be boring.

Personally, I think that if there were sequels, it would not be at entertaining because it's the first time Cady becomes someone she's not, Sam dresses like royalty, Viola becomes a guy, Mike becomes his teenager-self.

If you think about it, all the plots are quite risky. If they are caught, they'd be in trouble. What's great about the plot, is that a long the way there's a lot of drama :)

I also like how all three movies are dramatic without the use of iPhones, facebook and new technology etc.

I kinda miss the movie stars around 2003-2008 or something.

For example Hilary Duff was like the fresh-faced American girl. Lizzie McGuire. Naturally pretty yet beautiful. Sometimes on tumblr and on the internet loads of people say “ Hilary Duff was a good role model because she didn’t go to rehab. She didn’t drink or smoke . Now she's becoming a mother.

I also like Amanda Bynes a lot. Quirky and funny. She’s the Man.  The Amanda Show. Now she looks a lot more mature and is im her mid 20's.

To anyone who reads this, this is all just my opinion. :)
