Woke up at 8 and wore my uniform and styled my hair. It was pretty much my normal, everyday hairstyle but just hairsprayed it just incase it would rain or be windy.
Walked to school and I noticed some girls curled their hair and some guys just had normal hair but hairsprayed. Then headed off to rollcall.
Then had English in the library. the class lined up out of the library and my friend gave my close friend her birthday present. I was so jelly cause she got an Awkward Turtle as a present. In the library, the teacher was away so, my friends and I were playing with the turtle. I'm going to do a review on it later.
Then had maths, bludgey.
Then had recess
Then had a double commerce. I had my school photos taken in Period 4. My grade was under the sport’s shelter area and it was divided into a line of boys and girls. I was around the taller section =D Feeels good to be taller
The grade was basically split up into two groups of 100 students, cause there are 200 kids in my grade. I was in the first-half of the grade and we took the grade photo first, then the individual photos.
Review
Photography Company: Scene to BelieveIndividual Photo: Made my face look oilier than in real life =___=. Some of my friends looked more ‘orange’ or ‘tan’ because of the flash.
Green Screen: Pretty bad effect because I could see some green parts near my hair when the photo was printed.
Service: Pretty good service, because they instantly printed out my profile photos, but the grade photo comes out later.
Honestly, I don’t know why my school changes photography companies every year. In primary school, I looked heaps better, not because I looked younger, but the photo quality was really good. The company was advancedLife (Y)
School Picture Day Tips
Smiling :)
A great photo comes with a great smile. Practise your smile about 3 days – 1 week before PhotoDay. It will be a lot easier if you smile in all your photos or if you smile everyday. When I smile I smile with my eyes as well. Don’t smile with just your mouth, if you do that it looks unnatural. If you smile with your eyes and mouth, it makes you look a lot healthier and happier. Make sure you have some life in your eyes.
Bad Skin
If you have dry skin, moisturise your skin a month before your school photos. If you have acne, apply pimple clean and cleanse your face everyday til photo day :) If your school notifies you 2 weeks before photo day, take care of your skin before you get notified.
I put on my mum’s foundation on my pimples. It’s just for a day.
Oily Photography
My school changes photography companies every year, so I don’t know if my photo will turn out to be oily or normal. People that have, flawless skin only need to worry about their smile and hair :)because they look good in regular and ‘oily’ photography. My school photos are unpredictable, so there are 2 ways to prevent oiliness:
1. Tissues
Bring a pack of tissues and wipe the oil off your face before taking your photo.
2. Powder
Powder your face with Loose Powder. Powder will absorb oil, although too much powder can make you look more cakey. :S
Hair
Hair is an important asset for girls because it’s very versatile. It annoys me a lot when girls curl their hair then do a side bun, then hairspray etc. they style their hair as if theyre going to a party and it annoys me because it’s just school.Just hairspray you’re hair for anonymous winds. Bring an umbrella for a chance of rain.
Make up
I don’t wear make-up but the best thing to do, is to make sure you don’t look like a whore. It’s school Photo Day not a party. Don’t pluck your eyebrows the day before because they could be red or the wrong shape. Pluck a week before school photos. That's why people that luvos.
