Not that excited about it. I'm excited about school but not much of the new year. I ve never been to the city on new years because it's more crowded than Asian shops. I started out writing reviews on art, then I talked about my life etc. Even though no one reads my blogs. My blog is more like space that I can talk to myself :)
I just wanna wish anyone happy new year and have a great new year !

Last Day of School '11
Oh jeeez. School just ended about 2 hours ago. Today was the last day of school & I have enjoyed every moment of it. Ive met a lot of new people this year & I just cant believe its over, its just gone so quickly. I cant believe my classes are gonna completely change next year. My class was mucking up on the last day & we took photos and gave presents to our Secret Santa. Even though I have a couple years left of school, when the last day of school comes we will always think “I’ll see you in the holidays” “I’ll see you in 6 weeks” or “I’ll see you in 2 weeks”. Hopefully when I finish highschool, the sadness and farewell wont strike too hard. :D
At the start of this week, I brought my camera everywhere ! Well, you know to try & capture the memories. I know have hundreds of photos that are from this year.
There were a lot of highlights of the week. Instead of taking pictures on the last day of school, I decided to take pictures on the last week of school. The last week is usually always a bludge.
So just according to my photos, this is what happened aka the highlights
14/12 Wednesday
Cheap Present
Sooo, my friend gave someone a present, and she was sooo cheap. Apparently the present was just used pens, pencils, rubbers etc. She put all the mini presents inside a tissue box and covered it with wrapping paper. She ran out of wrapping paper so she used lined paper. Haha, then she put an asian jelly on top.
Free Food is always the best
After roll call, I had Maths in the morning & my teach chose 6 students to help her with something. We just cut fruit and made fruit platters for the morning tea, in the new cooking kitchens. Even though it’s just fruit, afterwards, at lunch the teachers gave us free food or the leftovers like. I just ate the biscuits & dip. Free food is awesome (Y)
15/12 Thursday
A Birthday Celebration
At lunch, everyone made a huge effort for my friend, Jen’s birthday ! We put out the drinks, cake & bought pizza ! We wasted all the balloons and streamers. Her birthday was in the holidays, but we decided to celebrate it early. Jealous.
Balloon Fight
After lunch, my class had Maths & we brought some of the balloons to Maths. I didn’t talk to Jen much until we had a balloon fight. Other people were reading books, playing games while me and Jen were hitting balloons in each other’s face. I hit the balloon out of her hand, hit her face & shocked her. Her shocked face was priceless (Y) :L
16/12 Friday
Early Presents
When I came to school, everyone had their presents to their Secret Santa & so many people were giving presents to each other & I got chocolate. I honestly wished chocolate was not an option for Christmas. That is pretty ironic because I gave my Secret Santa chocolate. Everyone gives the same chocolate brand; Ferrero Rocheeeeer ! :L
Mine Craft
I have a friend who plays Minecraft and he designed a 'Minecraft-inspired' design. He put the letter ‘M’ on the it, then 2 Minecraft boxes next to it, so it spelt, ‘MOO’. Since he was overseas, I just took it home because I thought it was funny :L
Note Christmas Card
In sewing class, my friend was outside of the class room so I looked through her bag and found some posted notes and her pencilcase. I quickly wrote her a Christmas Card using sticky notes.
Free Icicle Pops !
At maths yesterday my maths teacher said she would bring iceblocks for the class on Friday. Today at lunch, my friends were gathering people from my class and we were just walking around the school looking for our Maths teacher. LIKE A MAFIA. We waited til second half of lunch and then we got the free ice poles. It was quite nice to know that our maths teacher likes us, Hehe :)Unexpected Hugs
When it was 5 minutes til the bell, everyone was giving hugs. Which was really unexpected because my class last year didn’t give out hugs. Even people who didn’t talk to me, gave me hugs, but I was just trying to be grateful for their careness. I usually hate hugs, but I just tried to blend in. I miss everyone a lot. :(
I know a lot of people say that every year is the same year. But I honestly really liked this year. My confidence last year was really low and I was a very serene person. I guess, now Im more open & happier. This year has changed me a good way, not completely but more like a confidence boost.
Merry Christmas to everyone ! & have a great New YEAR !
Sunday
Harry Potter Exhibition Powerhouse Museum, Sydney
So, about a week ago (on the 5/12) I went to the Harry Potter Exhibition Powerhouse Museum in the city (Sydney). It is basically a huge exhibition that displays all the props from the Harry Potter sets. Well, probably not all, but most of the props. They don’t just put the props there, they actually set up the props according to the scene that they were used in. The sad thing, is that, we couldn’t take any pictures :( Stupid copyright
Anyway, I went with some friends and it took sooo long. Basically an hour and half drive. We arrived in the city at around 9:30 so we walked around another museum until 11:20. Until 11;20, we went to the exhibition.
When we were waiting outside of the museum, a lot of the staff members there (or workers) had British accents which was pretty cool. Some people's accents were exaggerated so, you could spot them straight away.
Firstly, we had to wait in queue for about 5-10 mins. Next to the queue, there was a photographer who could take your photo with a Harry Potter theme/background. The photos cost around $20, I think.
After the queue we walked through doors, were greeted by a witch that had the Sorting Hat on the stool and she chose 3 random volunteers. So, you sit on the stool, put the hat on your head and it randomly tells you what house you're in. the lady that put the sorting hat on, also had a British accent.
After that, we walked through these doors that looked like the Great Hall, that displayed the Harry Potter props. It was really good because there was also music in the museum, so every time you would walk from one place to another, the music would change to adjust the theme. Obviously, you couldn’t touch the props.
It was really good (well maybe because I’m a huge Harry Potter fan).
It showed
The House sports teams
Harry’s bedroom,
Snape & Slughorn’s potions class
Weasley’s Wizard Weezes
Uniforms,
Dementors,
The Hungarian Horntail
The Yule Ball
etc.
etc.
They even showed clothes that some of the actors wore during the scene. The themes were very accurately done, in comparison to the movie.
Personally, most of the props looked a bit smaller than on camera (just my opinion). So… there might be some people who think it’s not good but personally, I am so thankful that the museum had the opportunity to display all the Harry Potter things because it's one of the closest things to the world of Harry Potter.
It took about just 50 minutes to go through all of it. My friend and I were going through it slowly because were carefully examining it. It was worth it though !
After the display, there was a large souvenir shop, that was set up like Diagon Alley. It showed
Mugs
Wands,
Bertie botts every flavour beans
Chocolate frogs,
Books,
Scarves
Etc.
I just didn’t like that everything was so expensive. They even ranged to $50 !! I guess that’s because the museum knows that we’d be desperate to get anything from the Harry Potter world.
I got 2 boxes of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour beans ($5 each) & a chocolate frog ($5) so I spent $15.
They even have earwax, vomit & sausage flavour.
The Harry Potter Bag
Another thing, I didn’t like was that the tickets or the cost to see the museum was $34…… I was like what the hell ?!? I don’t know if I got a discount or if children’s tickets were cheaper, but I guess it was worth it :) I loved evey moment of it, and Im so grateful for the opportunity.
My next destination is..
The Wizarding world of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida !
Why does it have to be all over the other side of America ?!? My relatives live in California and that’s far enough. I guess cause it’s closer to England, Oh well !

Allison Harvard
About 4 days ago, I watched the finale of ANTM Cycle 17 All-Stars & I was really hoping that Allison would win. Although Lisa won, I personally thought it was a bit unfair because if it was called the 'All-Stars' Cycle, the audience should vote.. that's why they are called 'ALL ★ STARS' Allison has one of the hugest ANTM fan bases.
Personally, I just think Tyra wanted Lisa to win. Even though Allison's personality is very shy and quirky, she can still become an All-Star. I think that being an All-Star means that you have to be memorable & obviously Allison is more memorable than Lisa. It's just that Lisa won because of her daring & vibrant personality.
But it did leave me wondering "Because Lisa won, does that mean every All-Stars winner has to be like Lisa ? "
These are some of the pictures, that have made me vote for Allison. Im not going to write my opinion about them because I'd rather stare at these pictures.

Fashion Magazines...
I think lately I've been too obsessed with Top Model stuff, probably because school is gonna end in a week :( Therefore, I have more stuff to do but I have no life :P
Montana Cox was recently announced the winner of Australia's Next Top Model Cycle 7 2011 around late October. (Y) Because she is the winner, she appeared on the cover December cover of Harper's Bazaar.
My personal opinions about some of her photos that I really like :)
Montana Cox was recently announced the winner of Australia's Next Top Model Cycle 7 2011 around late October. (Y) Because she is the winner, she appeared on the cover December cover of Harper's Bazaar.
Because she was on the cover of Harper's Bazaar, I bought the magazine about 3-4 days ago and it was pretty heavy (around a kilo), & expensive too ($10...). At first, I thought it would be worth it. This was the first time, I bought a fashion magazine so I expected discount coupons on clothes & "how to.." tutorials but all it really has is literally contents of pretty pictures. I will admit, most of the pictures are amazing but now I should know better. If I bought this magazine monthly, I'd be worth $120 a year.. . I bought it only because Montana was in it.
The Cover
The Blackmores national campaign

The double page
A page about critiques on Montana
A double page with a picture of Montana

Week 5 "Sunday Magazine"
Even though she's just standing straight with her hands to the side, it looks serene yet powerful. I like pictures that are plain yet meaningful. There doesn't have to be a lot in a picture for it to be amazing.
Week 9 "Pink Body Paint"
This isn't the most DRAMATIC picture but all the intensity comes through her body language and face. I like how Alex Perry said "It looks like a stolen moment". I really like the creativity. I DO NOT like hot pink, but using it will catch attention. (Y)
Week 11 "Couture Dresses on Cranes"
Dramatic outfit + elegance = (Y) It is graceful yet powerful. I don't want to say much, I'd rather stare at this picture (:
Week 12 "Gowns in the Desert"
The use of the dress is spectacular. I like how she balanced out the blue in the photo whilst making a dramatic pose. The blue dress leans towards the left whilst the material blown by the wind leans to the right.
Honestly, I think she was given a lot of blue throughout the competition. Photos are from the TopModel facebook page.
Thursday
Laura Kirkpatrick !
I am so freakin angry obviously because Laura was eliminated yesterday on ANTM Cycle 17 ! She was one of my favourites out of all the cycles of ANTM. I was so excited when I heard when Laura was going to be on the All-Stars Cycle because it was another chance for her to win. The main reason for why I love Laura, is because she is from Kentucky (country) and she is a really cute, sweet person. Therefore she is a Country Cutie ;)
This All-Stars Cycle was about your personality, & if Laura was the winner, she would make America proud. Why ? Because this cycle is about branding. Laura's persona is a 'Country Cutie' because she displays herself as a sweet person which is something good to be memorable for. Compared to Angelea or Lisa, they are more memorable and classified as 'bitches'. (Just my opinion.) Apart from that, she is an amazing model. :D
My vote goes to Allison now !
Anyway, this blog entry is meant to be about why I love Laura. So these are my verdicts on her photos from Cycle 13 & Cycle 17:
From Cycle 13,
Week 5
"Beauty Shots with Fabric"
I was stunned because of the softness in her face with the delicate pastel colours. Obviously, an editorial shoot. When I see this picture, it feels as if her body sways with the wind and the clothes flow with her. It is an artistic photo as well.
From Cycle 13,
Week 6
"Cirque du Soleil Mystère"
Personally, I don't really like this picture. From far away, it will catch your attention because it like a like a 'Pop of Colour'. The way the light sits on Laura's face is incredible because it highlights her facial features and contours her cheeks and jawline.
From Cycle 17,
Week 2
"Pink's Hot Dogs"
Because this cycle was about branding, Laura's word was 'Loveable' which she had to interpret while eating her hotdog. I really like how her face looks so seductive while eating. If I were to hit on a guy, I'd definitely use this expression. ;) ;)
From Cycle 17,
Week 4
"Express Fashion with Male Models"
I personally like artistic photos like the first photo of this blog entry but I just think this is a very good picture to add to her portfolio.
From Cycle 17,
Week 4
"Michael Jackson Tribute"
At first, I was like "Oh.. :|", now I'm like "Whoa ! :O". This photo creates a long thought. When I see this photo, it looks like she fluidly slid out behind the curtains of the stage, on her knees. Along with her pointer finger and the wind blow in her jacket. Gladly, she got the best photo !
From Cycle 17,
Week 4
"Ancient Olympic Sports"
Unbelievable. This picture isn't just modelling, it creates a beautiful story. Because of the background, this picture looks like a woman gracefully stanced with her bow & arrow, powering through her mask and shoots. Picture of the week ! =)
I can say Laura is a lot better in Cycle 17 than Cycle 13 because it was more about her personality. Although, I wanted Laura to win, she is very memorable. Pictures are from google & the Top Model website !
Took me an hour to write this.. This blog post is definitely more structured & better than the one I did on Kayla Ferrel. Maybe I'll re-do my verdict on her pictures sometime :)
Allison Harvard, please win !
