Fashion Magazines...

I think lately I've been too obsessed with Top Model stuff, probably because school is gonna end in a week :( Therefore, I have more stuff to do but I have no life :P

Montana Cox was recently announced the winner of Australia's Next Top Model Cycle 7 2011 around late October. (Y) Because she is the winner, she appeared on the cover December cover of Harper's Bazaar.

Because she was on the cover of Harper's Bazaar, I bought the magazine about 3-4 days ago and it was pretty heavy (around a kilo), & expensive too ($10...). At first, I thought it would be worth it. This was the first time, I bought a fashion magazine so I expected discount coupons on clothes  & "how to.." tutorials but all it really has is literally contents of pretty pictures. I will admit, most of the pictures are amazing but now I should know better.  If I bought this magazine monthly, I'd be worth $120 a year.. . I bought it only because Montana was in it.

My personal opinions about some of her photos that I really like :)

Week 5 "Sunday Magazine"

Even though she's just standing straight with her hands to the side, it looks serene yet powerful. I like pictures that are plain yet meaningful. There doesn't have to be a lot in a picture for it to be amazing.

Week 9 "Pink Body Paint"

This isn't the most DRAMATIC picture but all the intensity comes through her body language and face. I like how Alex Perry said "It looks like a stolen moment". I really like the creativity. I DO NOT like hot pink, but using it will catch attention. (Y)

Week 11 "Couture Dresses on Cranes"

Dramatic outfit + elegance = (Y) It is graceful yet powerful. I don't want to say much, I'd rather stare at this picture (:

Week 12 "Gowns in the Desert"

The use of the dress is spectacular. I like how she balanced out the blue in the photo whilst making a dramatic pose. The blue dress leans towards the left whilst the material blown by the wind leans to the right.

Honestly, I think she was given a lot of blue throughout the competition. Photos are from the TopModel facebook page.
