Canley Heights'

Canley Heights’ Water Fountain

On March 31st I visited Canley Heights with a friend and I hadn't visited CH for a long time and I walked past the Water Fountain and it was pretty cool. Even though it’s more of a mini-water fountain it's nice to add some colour/features.

There was a shop closing and it looked luxurious and we bought makeup to sponsor her. I also don't like writing make-up blogs/reviews.

Cafe

There was a new coffee shop that just opened: Corner Café. Pretty crowded and had a good-looking business.

Apparently, this was their best-selling food. Ice-cream with watermelon.

Avocado smoothie !

Had a few drinks and yea, pretty nice to go out once in a while ? :D

Sunday

Stuff I miss as a kid :(

So... I just got out of school. And since it's month of May, this is the month where all the half yearly tests come out. I actually feel like I'm slipping backwards rather than moving forward and improving. I got a 93% for my geo topic test which was a bit easy cause I did study for it. :) but some of my friends just have one mark higher than me and my ranking goes down. Agggggh. I guess I'm quite oblivious about how competitive and committed people are about tests and essays. I also had English last period today. More like an essay lecture, because we were given an essay task. When my teacher gave criticism about essay structures, I felt so bad because she said everything that was in my essay. I felt so badddd. I'm probably too much of a sentimental person. My teacher actually had to give our class a lesson on essay structure which seems quite boring which is probably why I have a blog that no one reads. I probably need to read a dictionary. It also made me wonder what type of blog I have. The way I blog is a resemblance of the way I am. I don't know if I should change my style of writing, or stop being so "hateful" in my posts. I don't know if I should appear professional. I gotta think about what blogs to post up. I need to think about how personal my posts are. I just want to be me. :) I guess the reason why my blog is informal, with a bit of a chatty style, is because I want to keep it entertained even thought no one reads it. I like to re red things in the past, because it shows how I felt like in the past. Does that make sense ? I've realized that if you go through hard things in life, in the end things seem easier. Eg. Working your whole ass off for a test and you get good marks. As a kid everything seemed so easy. Parents take care of of you. Don't have to study for tests from every subject. And I always thought that growing up into a teen/adult would be fun because you can go out with your friends and play with phones at school. Yea, you can do that, but then there's biased bitches, people who only like you for your looks and so much diversity. Life is too hard. Well, that just life. If it's not hard then it's not life. I love being crazy as a old and watching disney movies over and over again. I was a bit of a rebellious kid. Life is an interestingg experience.

Thursday

Church St

Is in Parramatta ! I actually like the street because it has European-style looking restaurants. The street’s a bit crowded but when you drive on the road it looks pretty spectacular. Church Street has some small hedges near the footpath. I’ve had dinner there once, but I think Church Street looks better when you’re on the road (roadview?).

I actually went to a friend’s house to pick something up. I also wanted to bring my camera but then I was like ‘Nahhh, nothing interesting will happen’. And the WOW, the atmosphere was beautiful. I knew I should have brought my camera.

Me and le Phone.

I used my mum’s phone to take pictures. Even though my pictures are very low quality, the sky was still photogenic ;).

All these photos are in chronological order. We drove along some bridge in Parramatta that has an amazing view of another road, that’s looks like a highway. I also enjoy crossing the bridge, especially at night because the cars light are moving fast with the sun’s colours scattered across the sky.

Since we were driving, most of the pictures became blurry.

We arrived at my friend’s place (forgot why) and it became darker and the sky was gone. And I was like ‘NOOOOOO’ I didn’t take enough photos. His parents had a wine/champagne holder which looked pretty cool. What’s the difference between wine and champagne ? :O

Champagne

After going to my friend’s place, my mum drove me to Church Street. I was pretty unexcited because THE SUN WAS GONE. D:

Until mum drove me to Church Street I was like ‘wow’.  Mum just drove me there for a little sight-seeing :). The streets actually look Euro-style because some restaurants expanded beyond the footpath. The streets has small little hedges too. :P

Hedges.

Nice streets.

Church Street roadview !

Small streets

Night Out

When we left Church Street, this girl looked really pretty and formal. Wouldv’e been a better scene if she was by herself... Would’ve been an effortless photo. But I love my mum too :)

Soulless
Drove passed a park, looks timeless. Cold weather, went to bed, happy days, yea yea.

Saturday

The Ranch Hotel

I went to the Ranch Hotel on the 20th of March, so I’m 2 months late, but I like to take my time typing dedicated blogs that no-one reads. It shows my commitment. This is a picture recount :)

I went to dinner with a few family friends because they just came back from an overseas trip. I had never been to the Ranch Hotel. The first thing I noticed when I entered the restaurant area, it was very modern.

The  Entrance to the Restaurant

Dining

The Restaurant area. It looks very modern because of the couches and lighting.

The seating area was pretty exquisite. We sat on the purple couches.

Lighting of the Restaurant

The lightning area. This is when the evening became darker.

The Restaurant had some seating outside, so you could eat with a pretty background. The area set up outside was nice.

Tables part of the outside area of the Restaurant.

The drinks area was so colourful. I always admire the shape of wine bottle because it’s the shape is very slim and most of them have very simple designs: Just a sticker of the name  and company.

The drinks area had cashiers. I actually thought it was a pretty smart idea to put the drinks in the background, with bright lighting because it creates a nice atmosphere.

We sat on the far right side of the purple couches. There were also arcade games there for little kids.

Arcade Games !

Dinner

We ordered drinks and they were delivered first and we had garlic bread as an entrée. :) haha, I can speak French.

Mum’s food: Prawn, Bread and Meat

I had Lasagne, chips and salad. That lasagne had so much cheese and tomato sauce. I just wanted to eat the crust of the Pastry.

After dinner was eaten, (Yum.) I walked around the restaurant, near the kitchen area. It kind of reminds of an Italian-designed restaurant.

Larger restaurant tables.

Another part of the restaurant. Pretty modern.

After dinner, we went home :)

Monday

The NAPs

I did my NAPs today. I did the Spelling & Grammar Test and Writing one. To be honest, they weren't hard but it was a bit confusing. I read 50 pages of the Hunger Games before going to bed last night cause I thought we had the Reading Test. :O

It's kinda sad that I won't do those tests again because it's replaced by the HSC :(.

It's a bit funny yet sad, when after a test, you discuss your answers with your friends and you find out some of them are wrong. :(

After I finished my week of NAPs, I can't post more stuff. Freeeeedom !

TWO MORE DAYS TO GO ! 15/5/12

Thursday

Tuncurry Rock Pool

Exactly 4 months ago, on January 11th, I went to the Tuncurry Rock Pool in Newcastle. A rock pool is just basically a large sea area surrounded by big rocks. January was the first time I’ ve visited the Rock Pool and I've admired the place.

Since it was summer, the sky was still bright at 8pm. :)

As the evening became darker, I was so surprised by the scenery. It was incredible to see the clash of Nature’s surroundings with the city.

Part of the rock pool land was extended out into the sea area, so it was like a peninsula.

We saw a few empty beach areas and the sand was so clean. We also watched the class of the waves strive against each other.

The sky became grey, but my camera altered the colour to be dark blue. It created a great contrast amongst the city.

 Tuncurry Rock Pool

When it became darker, it was colder so we decided to head back to our hotel. The clouds were like paintings and the sunset was falling. It was an amazing experience.

The last time I've visited the Rock Pool, it was in March (Easter Holidays). While I was there I recorded a video of the beach waves and the cityscape =)
