DISNEYLAND! and California Adventure Park

DISNEYLAND DAY 1 :)
I still remember a year ago, I woke up at around 6:30am cause I was so excited to go to Disneyland. Everyone got dressed before 9 o’ clock cause Uncle L from San Diego came over with his 7-year-old daughter. Apparently, mum hasn’t seen him in 20+ years, so it was like a little reunion.
First impression of Uncle L : :|
When I first heard his voice, I thought it was so American. Being in America is like being in movie :O ! His daughter was so shy, and I thought I was pedo-looking =.=.  We all grabbed our bags and walked out of the hotel. Turns out that Kira wasn’t that shy and Uncle L was a really awesome person.
We had breakfast at a restaurant called 'IHOP'. I couldnt finish my pancakes :(
Before entering Disneyland, We had to walk through some gates with cards that allowed to go in. So many trees ! We had our photo taken, by some Disneyland worker :D . Good service, Disneyland. I like it, so far.
We were given a map and we went all over the place. Haha ! Disneyland was big too ! I talked to Kira for a little bit and her American accent was quite American. Apparently, I have a sexy accent ;) ;D Honestly, whilst in America I think I had more of an American Accent cause everyone else was American.
Walking to Disneyland !
Walked through the Disney Land Castle !
Disneyland flowers ! :D
On a boat, we saw a mini-sculpture of the palace in Aladdin !
'It's a Small World' Disney Show !
Princess Ariel, Jasmine and Belle ! They looked so realistic, scared the crap outta me. Posing for 12 hours, eh ? I guess, beauty is pain.
We went on some scary, fun, awesome rides. It was great ! Uncle L talked to us about America’s economy, family and marriage. He planned to come to Disneyland with us for 2 days but aunty Linhnhi was sick. My family went on rides Kira wanted to go on because they only were only there for a day, and we had another 2 days.
Jazz band behind us, playing music
For lunch, we had some bread, salad and lasagne in a Disney-themed restaurant. Kira was so well-behaved and I was complaining at so many things, haha ! We had lunch for about 30mins and there was a jazz band playing some classy music.
Toy Story, Buzz Light Year game ride !
For the rest of the day, we still went on some rides. My feet were so exhausting. There was this one ride where everyone sat in a floatie boat. And it takes you down into a river, so water splashes everywhere ! I had to change my shorts.
Pirates of the Caribbean was on a boat. It was more of a sight-seeing ride where you could see pirates, skulls, ships and music.

I met Captain Jack Sparrow ! :D
 California Adventure Park !
Around 5pm, we walked around California Adventure Park for dinner and we had some Japanese food. Rice and meat.
Food and Fortune Cookie !
When darkness arrived, we all ran to the Disneyland Castle where there was a performance that included Peter Pan, Tinkerbell and other Disney characters with fireworks.
Disney Castle Perfomance !
After the fireworks, we had to walk back to our hotel which was a pain. It was so sad to say goodbye because I wouldn’t see my uncle and Kira for a while. We were planning to see him and Kira in San diego :)
Took so many photos on that day !
DISNEYLAND DAY 2
We were able to go on some more rides. We went on the Indiana Jones Ride. It was so bumpy yet scary. The ride was the car from the 4th Indiana Jones movie.

My family went on a boat cruise to see some safari animals and wildlife.

 Angry Gorillas!

Tigger from Winnie the Pooh !

BUAHAHAHA ! I saw this guy walking with a Yoda backpack ! It costs $50, I think :(

i saw Woody & Jessy !

We walked back to the hotel at an earlier time because we saw the fireworks the other day. We heard fireworks from our hotel, but our window view was opposite the fireworks.
DISNEYLAND DAY 3 / RODEO DRIVE

Last and final day at Disneyland :(. Aunty KD from San Diego was planning to take us to Hollywood but she said it was boring because she’s been there before.

Pretty Keychains - $30

We went to Rodeo Drive instead because apparently it has a huge shopping market ! It's literally a couple of streets that have huge stores: GAP, Banana Republic and more. Mum and Aunty KD bought so many clothes, I was quite upset because I didn’t really like shopping.
We were at Rodeo Drive for about 3 hours, the she drove us to Disney Land and California Adventure Park. Since, everyone went on the rides they wanted to, we went on some other rides.

As we entered California Adventure Park, there was a cartoon display :)
My family went on a Ferris wheel. There was one that tilted and would shake back and forth, but mum didn;t want to go on that one because she didnt want to get sick.

Ferris wheel !

View outside the Ferris wheel !

There was a ride at the Park, called California Screamin'. :O it was so awesome ! It went so fast and it went in loops. Mum got a bit sick after that, HAHAHA ! (Y) I saw some Japanese Dance students infront of me when we were queuing.

Space Mountain was awesome ! It was like ‘Whooosh !’ We had to line up for an hour because the line was soooo long. You basically sit in the rollercoaster and it goes extremely fast in the dark. It would turn left, then right, then up and down. It was cool because you couldn’t see anything.

The shops at Disney Land were so expensive ! I bought some Mickey Mits for $20 because I wanted to save some money for the rest of the trip :)

When it was dark, I snapped an awesome picture of the Disneyland sign !
 Disneyland sign !

It was so sad leaving Disneyland because it was our day there ! :( At night, my family went down to the lobby, to the swimming pool area. The area was big, and there was a bar/liquor store around the swimming pool. Mum and I were sitting at the tables near the the liquor store and she was a drinking beer with 8.0-something alcohol level. Just the two of us, with noone else around us.

Mum got a bit drunk and started saying some retarded/funny things. She made me laugh my head off. She was definitely more daring, when she was drunk. She wasn't drunk, she just looked drunk.

There was a funny time, where she walked into the bar and the bartender asked her "Are you drunk?" and my mum gave him a dirty-look and said "No". HAHAH, she is so cool

I actually thought mum was drunk, but she denied it so many times. She tried to prove it and I litereally laughed my head off, looking some retarded Asian. Mum said, "I'll walk in a straight line near the edge of the pool". She was following the line of the tiles, on the ground. HAHAHAHAHHA ! Love you mum =D

After mum, wasn't drunk, The rest of the family came to sit near the fireplace. They have two fireplaces, OUTDOORS. And it looked so beautiful.

Flames of the fireplace ! You can see the swimming pool in the background.

Fiery Flames !

It was so beautiful !

Depart Sydney, Import Los Angeles !

Exactly a year ago, I went to America with my family to visit the rest of my family that lives in the United States :). At that time, I didn’t have a blog, so I was just thinking, might as well write a blog about my trip, before I forget everything. Because the holidays are near, I have more time to write stuff now.

My flight was booked on the 29th of March, 2011. All my luggage and stuff was packed. Before I left, I had to pay my school fees. So, I had to walk to school in casual clothes and paid my fees at the office. We said goodbye to my grandparents :’( then we boarded a shuttle bus that took us to Sydney Airport at 11pm. On the way, we met these two ladies that were going overseas.

We checked in our luggage and shopped at the airport. We just bought some scarves, books or mugs or any Aboriginal-designed stuff, for my American families. I was also looking for good-looking guys, ;D

Went through security and they took away my school scissors because it’s dangerous. :/ Then we boarded the plane around 3pm. Before boarding the plane, I said “That’s a good-looking plane”. Then this man laughed at me. What ?

 14 HOURS ON A PLANE.

My seat had a window view on the left side of the plane. Great for pictures :).  There were food menus and travel guide books available in the chair, infront, including headphones for the radio. Nothing interesting on the radio.

As the plane left Sydney, I texted my friend and the pilot was mentioning safety belts, travel guides etc. I realised there was a world map and there was a dotted line that indicated the path where the plane would travel, from Sydney to Los Angeles. There was a large dot that showed where the plane was.

About 10mins after the plane left, I started some of my school homework. The flight attendants gave us small drinks and pretzels, as a snack.

le me on the plane, homeworking (Y)

Snacking on pretzels & sprite whilst flying

go away, clouds

Mostly clouds outside my window and I started to get sleepy. There was a blanket and pillow for sleeping. Sleeping was so uncomfortable because there was only about 40-50cm leg room.
Left - Foggy Window, Right - Clean window

I did’nt even know what time it was but the sky outside was so pretty ! We passed the international date line in the sky, and I was starting to fall asleep. The plane completed ¼ of it’s journey to America.

Dinner was served and it was delicious =D . Aeroplane food was pretty good, I wonder if there was Aeroplane Jelly =D. There were movies scheduled at certain times but I just listened to some music on the plane.

My skin was so dry on the plane, because the air is recycled, so I had to apply cream on when the flight attendant wasn't looking. If they saw me, they probably wouldn't give me the good food cause I'd look like some diseased person.

We were given bread rolls with either cheese or ham for lunch which was okay. Then for dinner, we had pasta, bread, salad and fudge cake

 Dinnerrrrrrrrr. =D

 Awesome fudgecake

When I woke up, the plane passed the equator and I was like ‘WOOHOO! Haha, all my friends are in the Southern Hemisphere’. Slept for some more and we were so close to LOS ANGELES. =D :) :] >D

Before we arrived in LA, we were given breakfast and I think we arrived at 7-something am. The date was 28th of March, 2011

We had to go to LA Airport Security and the queue was sooo long. Good thing I ran there and got a spot. It took us literally 4 hours. Why so many questions. I guarantee you America, I will not add anything to your list of crimes.

We received all our luggage and we waited outside the airport, for a taxi. There was a black lady that worked there, and she had a nice convo with me. Great service, America ! A shuttle bus arrived, and we went to The Red Lion Hotel in Anaheim. On the way, we met an American couple that had a baby. I think they were in college but resided, in Florida =D.

It took sooo long to get to the hotel, cause we were all sleepy, so time seemed slower. Driving through Anaheim, I noticed there were a lot of Palm Trees, the roads were wider and the hotels were great ! We arrived at the Hotel, but we could only check in after 3pm. A concierge called Ceaser came and put our luggage away til 3pm. Haha, I miss him. He was so nice and friendly :)

My family went to get Disney Land Tickets :). My family got the 3-day-Disneyland offer along with a trip to Universal Studios and Sea World. :D Then we went to go eat Subway.
To be honest, having the feeling of being in LA was awesome cause it’s the city where all the entertainment happens. It’s one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations. =D

Subway sandwiches were nice :). The drinks were huge ! I think it was a medium sized cup, and you can refill too.

After lunch, we walked around Anaheim to look at the hotels. We waited for a while in the lobby until we could check in. Ceaser came to us with our luggage and we had a key to our hotel room ! We were on level 7, Room 11. I wish we had a higher view, just so we could take better pictures.

The room was pretty big but about 70% of the space was taken up by furniture. I had a Queen-sized bed all to myself ! Yeaaaa ! =D

Bedrooms

Even though we didn’t have the most luxurious room, I was still pretty happy to be in LA. We all unpacked our stuff and lied on the bed. They were big !

My aunty from San Diego called the hotel and left my mum a message when she was showering. They have really good shampoo. The rest of my family just talked about our itinerary for the rest of trip.

A few hours later, after everyone had a nap. Mum and dad went out to LA around 5pm, to buy some groceries but I stayed in the hotel with the key cause I wanted to take pictures of the room. They came back an hour later, because they got lost. HAHAHHA ! They came back with some bread, milk, butter, eggs and chips.

For dinner, we went to a place that specialises in making nice rubs. i just wanted lasagne.. The ribs were huge !

After that, we went to sleep and I was so excited for the next day !

“Twelve Thirty Three v2”

This portrait is by acidlullaby and was submitted on November 9th, 2008.

This is what you call beauty.

Not everyone thinks that this is beautiful, but I do. I was so shocked when I saw this picture because my mind was actually blank for a moment.

One major thing that stands out is her eyes. They literally pierce through the picture and they dominate everything else and it’s incredible.

The colours, they’re intense.
Her skin, flawless and pale.
The eyes, piercing and strong.
Her hair, short and simple.
The lips, small, cupid-bow shaped.
Everything contrasts so strong and it’s so divine looking at this and so engaging.

If you take all of her features apart, her eyes, nose, brows, hair they don’t look amazing.
But when you put them together, it’s like magic.

Hair is a huge asset because it’s that basic frame for your face. A picture has a frame, like your face has hair. Hair can be layered, it can be curled, spiked.

I love how the artist has given a short bob because that way it looks understated. It’s not attention-seeking. It’s a simple hairstyle which is great because it shows that she doesnt need t hude behind long hair. All of her face is shown.

This is such an amazing picture because of the eyes. They eyes are so powerful, it seems quite hard to balance out the rest of the facial features.

All of the features are so unique but when put together it’s like a work of Art. And that’s what art is. When you put different things together it can look beautiful.

This artwork belongs to acidlullaby on deviantArt.

Awkward Frog Toy ; Wong Fu Productions

It was my friend’s birthday on 16th March and my friends (including myself) chipped in $5 for an AwkwardFrog Toy from Wong Fu Productions (WFP). WFP are pretty famous on youtube for their amazing video ideas and skits. They collaborate with other famous youtubers as well.
My friend is obsessed with WFP, but now she’s one step closer to them via toy. :L

They have an online website which is wongfuproductions.com.

They have a store called areyouaniceguy.com which is linked to their site. It shows all of their clothes, toys and merchandise. One of their tabs says “AWKWARD ANIMALS

My friend ordered an Awkward Frog for $40.

Product Description & Details

Since the toy was a gift, my friend received the Nice Guy Design Bag
REVIEW !!
Delivery Service
My friend said that the frog would be delivered within 2 weeks but it came within a week.

The Toy :O !
On the website, it claims to be 8 inches so that would be around 20cm in diameter. And yes, it’s round. It was so cute ! I swear it was like a round hamburger, I just wanted to eat it… :L.
On their website, they said they it would be made with good quality fabrics and it’s SUPER SOFT! I think it’s made of velvet, but it is SUPER SOFT ! It’s like a pillow.

In this picture:
The white toy feet look like the playstation remote thingy, when you flip it upside down :D !

In this picture:
This is the Awkward Frog from the back. The green feet in the back looks like one of those cars that have that blast fire out of their engines. They also remind me of vegetable patches AHAHA :L

The Bag
The bag looks exactly like the bag on their website and it came with that paper thing that you use for protecting toys. It was around 30 by 15cm.

Price
The price was $25 which was pretty expensive for a 20cm toy but it was so COOL cause it was so squichy! Apparently the shipping was $13 but I guess that’s reasonable because I live in Sydney. It was $40 in total. Convert American-Aust money.

Design
The design isn’t the most colourful toy but it’s still adorable because of it’s weird features (<-- that was a compliment). I like how the design was kept simple but awkward. I’ll give it an extra point cause of the sticky tongue.

I really love the design because it’s not a skinny anorexic looking frog with dangling legs. The features are short and stubby =D =D =D

Overall Rate:
9/10
I wish the toy was a bit bigger but it was too big, it wouldn’t be as cute. :D

None of these pictures belong to me, only to wongfuproductions.com
