4th Day in Vegas
&
The Human Nature Concert !
USA: 14/4 SYDNEY: 15/4
Nearing
the end of the trip of Las Vegas
:(. The Strip involves so much walking, if you want to see everything. The 4th
day of Vegas was more about seeing all the hotels and what Vegas has to offer,
rather than seeing shows.
We woke
up pretty earl around 7am. I hated that I wake up so early in the holidays, but
I wake up so late at home. Why ??!
Mum
filled her large purse with needs and emergency stuff. We left the hotel and
yea.
We went
out to a restaurant for breaky. Can’t remember what we ate.
I wanted
to go on a roller coaster ride from the New York New York Hotel. Since we had
already been to Disneyland, mum was like "Don't go on it, it's not as good
at Disneyland'. We went inside the hotel, and
I lined up. It was so expensive ($14). I went on by myself.

After the
ride, I was so disappointed because it wasn't even worth $14. It went so slow
and wasn't scary compared to the rides in Disneyland.

After the
ride, I saw my mum looking around a shop in the New York New York Hotel. It was
filled with Spongebob stuff and toys. I also had to go to the toilet and the
sign said “Dolls” instead of “Girls” for the toilets.
"Dolls"
The
toilets were actually in a large arcade game area, I guess it’s a good way to
make you spend money. There were also Bart Simpson toys. If I can’t win in
arcades games for a toy, I’ll just give people the money so I can buy the toys :(

We walked
around the gift shops at the New York New York Hotel and the key chains were so
cool ! They had poker chips and dice with fake diamonds. I was pretty happy
with the prices ($12 for 4 key chains). We ended up buying 3 poker chips and a
few other things.
After New York New York
hotel, we saw the Excalibur Hotel. The hotel looked amazing at night but I
don’t want to post picture of it. We didn’t go inside the hotel, but the hotel
was shaped like a palace. It looked like a magical fantasy at night. :O

Walking
along the streets of the Strip, there was a guy that offered tickets to see
Criss Angel’s magician show. Mum always says to me “Never talk to strangers” but the guy to us to the manager of Criss
Angel’s Mindfreak Show. He said we would get discounted because the show was in
a few days. We turned down the offer :(.
I also saw some "Thunder from Down Under" Posters. :O

The 4th
day of Vegas was probably the day where we were walking the most. We saw the Luxor in Las
Vegas which was a pyramid shaped hotel. It probably
holds to most rooms out of the hotels. My friend stayed in that hotel and she
said the ceiling was slanted to create the slope of pyramid :O.
For
lunch, we went into a restaurant that had finished it’s closing hours. The
restaurant looked Italian and had nice sculptures. We had a buffet, and I had
some pizza and salad.
Human Nature Concert
[ Our
feet were soooo exhausted and we were planning to go the Human Nature Concert.
We rested our feet for a couple of hours before we could walk.
We
decided to walk to the concert because taking a taxi would cost too much money.
I don’t remember what hotel the concert was in.
In the
concert, there was a stage that was connected to two long platforms. My family
got seats along the side of the platform and we were really lucky.
I also
found out that Human Nature was a vocal group not a band but they do use instruments.
I was pretty happy when I found out that they were Aussie. The vocal group were
from Sydney and
two of the members were brothers.
I
realised that the show targeted people in there 30’s – 50’s. I did enjoy the
show to be honest. I remember the groups asked if there were any Aussies in the
audience and my dad put his hand up. Haha, he was a bit embarrassed :P.
I
couldn’t use my camera but the show had some documentaries, singing and videos.
They sung a couple of songs and danced off-stage and I high-fived with one of the band members.

After the
show, the band members decided to sign autographs. ]
My family
decided to see some hotels. We obviously knew that, to see the best sights of
Vegas, would be at night. =D
We saw
The Mirage Hotel that had a large artifical volcano eruption. It was really
crowded but we stood opposite the volcano to get a good picture of the volcano.

We saw Planet Hollywood & Treasure Island. We saw the Venetian Hotel, which was probably one of my favourite
hotels. The hotel was very Italian, including the shops and the architecture.
The surroundings of the hotel were also very Italian. Everything about it was
so breathtaking, I thought it was overpowering the other hotels on the streets.
Street lamps outside the Venetian Hotel
Inside of
the hotel there were a lot of shops and a few designer brands. Parts of the
hotel had Renaissance-like paintings on the ceilings which scared me. There was
an amazing part of the hotel that was like the world of Italy.
Everything inside it was so European.
Inside the Venetian Hotel !
There was
a fake blue sky that was painted on the ceiling.. illusionist !!
Even the
shops and restaurants were Italian-themed.
Something
that blew me away, was that there was a large pool area filled with water, and
literally had canoes with people on it. I think it was called a Gondola. We
walked around the inside pool area and it was right in front of the shops. You
could sit in the canoes but the rower would steer the canoe around the inside
pool.
It really
amazes me how much time and effort people put in, to make Art. Why am I so lazy
?
We left
the Venetian Hotel and walked along a few bridges. So many hobos :S
These pictures were taken on a phone :( When we
were at the Flamingo Hotel, there were pole dancers on the stage. I was so embarrassed when my mum went infront of them to take a picture of them dancing. D:
