Viva Las Vegas !

The fabulous
LAS VEGAS

Arriving in Las Vegas ! MY family arrived in Las Vegas in the afternoon, I was pretty scared that we didn’t have any relatives around to guide us, but it was okay, since we had a map.

We got picked up in a shuttle bus at the airport. The had had many stops, cause he had to drop off other people to their hotel. We were the last to leave, and we arrived at the Signature at MGM Grand which was our hotel. At the back of the shuttle bus, I grabbed a map so we could guide ourselves.

I wasn’t that excited going to Las Vegas, until we actually arrived in Las Vegas, I was astonished. I’ve also learnt that Las Vegas is a city. The Las Vegas Boulevard or The Strip was the attraction. It’s basically a large street that showcases many shows restaurants and some of the most iconic things in the world.

When we arrived at the hotel, there were 3 hotels and I was just thinking ‘huh?’, because there were 3 towers.
Fluffy pillows in the lobby!

Dad checked in for us and I was pretty happy when got booked into the second tower because it had a good view of Vegas. Level 20, Room 11.

We pulled our luggage to our room, and I noticed the room was amazing. It had a kitchen that didn’t take up the whole room. Enough walking area, and large bathroom area. 5/5 stars. The room also had a nice design, it wasn’t plain boring.

 The Signature Hotel Room

We rested and packed away most of our things for an hour and checked our itinerary for the rest of the trip. Mum & dad decided to go for a walk but I wanted to stay in the hotel. I checked out the hotel and also did a vlog, along with some pictures :)

I like how the hotel doesn’t have creepy Renaissance paintings or the Mona Lisa, there was more abstract and nature paintings.

 Some Hotel Paintings

I took a picture of the view outside my window.

I had to turn off the lights, so the reflection wouldn’t show up on the glass.

Then I realised the window had some dirt & fingerprints, so I quickly washed it !

Then I realised I was too short, so I had to stand on a chair.

It was worth it :) :

Las Vegas, you have impressed me. The picture was not altered on the camera, I made the contrast a bit higher, just because everything looked a bit dull.

At the time, I didn’t know what time it was. <-- (haha, irony =D). So, I just read the time on my camera’s clock and wrote it down.

The Time :O

My parents came back from their walk and we decided to look around The Strip. We were in Vegas in the Spring season, so 6pm looked like 4pm.

Notebook at the lobby desks with Sydney's time !

The Hotel's lobby has amazing designs :O. We checked out of the hotel

Mum said this painting looked like a boy squished between a pair of bewbs. Las Vegas, I can see your subliminal messaging. -.-

Garden outside the Hotel :)

When we walked out of the hotel, I noticed our hotel was quite far away from all the other hotels in the Strip. Walking along the streets, I saw some extremely dirty and raunchy magazines. :S There was “Gay Guide”, “Rolling Stone with hot chicks” or something. And I was wondering, where’s “Vogue and Time Magazine”. Well, I guess that’s Vegas for ya.

Louis Vuitton Store

I saw this Louis Vuitton store, but I wasn't sure if it was authentic because I know the girls in Vegas are not authentic. =D the roads were packkkked ! It's so much better to walk than drive, even though it's crowded.
McDonalds' Sign is bedazzled with lights !

We had McDonalds because we didn't want to waste an hour finding the perfect restaurant. When we had McDonalds, I was just thinking "Wow, were in Vegas and the first thing we eat is McDonalds ......".

Everything in Vegas was like 'wow'. I guarantee that, unless you are a nature-lover and an urban-hater. This makes me wonder if Las Vegas becomes twice as sparkly in the Christmas month. Why can't my neighbourhood be like the Las Vegas Boulevard? D:

I remember once, I was just walking on the streets of Vegas and people just bombard you with loads and loads of cards of naked girls. And they were literally naked, I didn't keep those cards :S. they just have like a bag full of naked girls and they flick them infront of you. I never knew what they were until I grabbed one and it was so awkward.

The cards basically have a naked girl and phone number if you want to sleep with someone.

We also checked out the eateries in Las Vegas, so food-decision-making would be easier for the rest of our trip :)

Shirts !

Disturbing shirts. I think they were wholesalers. I also saw a shirt that the shirt has the design, that dances to the music. They were $20 ! I was pretty upset that I never bought any clothes :(

Hobo as Elvis Presley

As we walked along the streets, I saw many restaurants with amazing lights. I didn't know if it was real so I said "Is it real?" then the man moved and greeted me. I got so shocked, that a couple of people around me laughed. I probably looked like one of those fobby asian that get impressed by everything. :P

I asked to take a picture of him, I had to pay him tips. Many people there dress-up as famous people. They would wear the costume, and pose in one position. I saw him scare other people.

The Excalibur Hotel

We passed so many streets and there were so many bridges. I realised that because Vegas is so big, there are so many streets and bridges to cross. Photography is amazing in Vegas.

We went back to the hotel. We had our showers and I so was so excited for the next day in Vegas. I charged both my Canon and Casio cameras. =) >:D
